The Family Tree
Window of one rectangular light. This window depicts an abstract, symetrical tree with flowers, animals, insects and figures within the branches of the tree. According to the artist, this tree represents an “‘extended family tree’ which reaches far beyond the out-dated concept of the ‘nuclear family’ unit, and recognizing that nowadays everybody has a different experience of ‘family’- our closest relationships are often with lovers, friends or pets. “ (information found on NHS plaque.)
