New Resources For English Curriculum

Scran’s provision of resource packs on the Curriculum Navigator matching English National Curriculum requirements has seen a marked growth in the past 6 months. For those teachers unfamiliar with resource packs, these extremely useful ready-made resources contain a selection of images illustrating a particular area of the curriculum, which you can manipulate to suit your classroom needs.

With over 700 resource packs in the Navigator, there’s something for almost every area of the curriculum. For budding designers, the new packs on bridge design contain QuickTime movies to demonstrate the principles of bridge design and engineering.

Art students can find inspiration in new packs on late twentieth century art, from collage and mixed media to sculpture. History has recently been updated with superb new resources on the Napoleonic Wars and Biologists can interact with resources on hominid evolution.

The Curriculum Navigator is just one way of finding resource packs – for those who prefer to browse for a specific topic rather than a Key Stage Level, the Topic Bank provides an easy-to-navigate list of subjects ranging from Art Evaluation to the Wars of Independence.
