Shared Networks Pilot Begins

Today, Scran launches its Shared Networks pilot.
 
Jenny Ure, Tertiary Education Officer, commented. "Stuff is incredibly popular providing both a personal and institutional location to store stuff .  However, lifelong learning requires support for the FE/HE transition  and institutions are increasingly working in networks of subject expertise. Scran has responded to those needs."

Shared Networks - shown above - presents a new section directly on the opening screen after log-in.  This lists the networks an institution belongs to. Direct access requires a simple click.  Users may copy material from this Network directly into their own personal stuff.  Additionally they may submit material directly from their own personal stuff by simply choosing Copy - knowing that material will be displayed in the shared network and accessible by all members of that network.
