Teachers' Free Home Access
Scran is delighted to announce free home access for all Scottish Local Authority teachers. In an agreement with the Scottish Executive, the scheme will allow teachers to gain their own personal access to Scran for preparation at home.
A simple form has to be filled in and the teacher must have to hand their school address, a school email, their own personal home email address and their GTC number. The system then emails the teacher their own personal access details.
The personal access account allows the teacher to use Scran in any location - at home or in school. Resources can be saved online in My Stuff and teachers can share that material by copying it to the school account, or that of any colleague who has signed up. Any materials prepared at home from Scran can be used copyright cleared for classroom teaching
When the SSDN is fully launched, teachers will be able to use that account to log-on to Scran from home.
