Scottish Parliament wins Stirling Prize
The Scottish Parliament at Holyrood has beaten five other contenders to win the prestigious Stirling Prize. The Prize, named after the architect Sir James Stirling, who died in 1992, honours the building which has made the biggest contribution to British architecture in the past year. This is the first time in the Stirling Prize’s ten year history that a Scottish building has won.
