Exciting new Albums facility launched

You may have noticed some new links on the site recently, ‘add to album’ and ‘manage albums’. These links are for a new tool we have introduced that lets you create electronic albums of Scran material. You can use them to produce collections of resources or simply to store your favourite images. You can have as many albums as you wish and there is no limit to the number of images, video or audio clips you can insert into each album.

The albums will be on the site each time you log on and will remain there until you decide to delete them!

This is an excellent tool for collecting resources in areas that you're interested in. Maybe you're researching local history, maybe you just want to build up a collection of paintings or inspirational images.

Why not have a go at creating a few albums to experiment with whilst trying out today’s sample searches? Simply click on ‘manage albums’ and then create a few test titles. You don't have to give your albums passwords, you can choose to leave them unlocked if you prefer, but note that if other people use the same login as you, they can alter unlocked albums.

Select one of your albums and click ‘open’. Now return to the search results page and simply click the ‘add to album’ link below the thumbnails of the images you wish to insert into this album.
