New Phonics Pathfinder Packs now available

17th March, 2009

The education team at Scran have been hard at work compiling packs of phonic words that can be used as a teaching aid for early years and primary learners, or for older learners for whom English is a second language.

We've created 4 blocks of simple words (like dug, fin and rod), broken down into 53 separate Pathfinder Packs with eye-catching visuals to complement them.

Although they were especially created to accompany the City of Edinburgh's Achievement in Literacy synthetic phonics programme, you are welcome to adapt them as you see fit for your teaching and learning.  Print them off, turn them into flashcards or posters, or save them offline and then upload them into your favourite Virtual Learning Environment (e.g. Clicker).

More information about the Achievement in Literacy program can be found here.
