Artist John Bellany Dies at Age 71

The artist John Bellany died on 28th August 2013. He studied at Edinburgh College of Art was known for his portraits of the East Lothian fishing community in which he grew up. He went on to exhibit in many of the world's most prestigious museums, and his works are in the permanent collections of the tate gallery, New York's Metropolitan Museum and the Museum of Modern Art.
