A multimedia resource package created in PowerPoint, incorporating text, video and sound. It is divided into three categories - Poets, Themes, and Manuscripts and Collections - and can be used to support classroom teaching or as a standalone study resource.

Who was it designed for?

Second-year (native Gaelic speakers) and Honours-level (Gaelic learners) undergraduate students.

Points of interest:

Students often feel far removed from the world of the seventeenth and eighteenth century poets. By introducing sound and images into the course materials, the author has opened up the aural dimensions of the songs and provided a valuable opportunity for students to form an impression of the ‘world’ of poetry, gain a multi-dimensional view of the Gaidhealtachd of the time and assign identities to the men and women who composed in Gaelic.
