It explores collieries open at the time of Nationalisation (1947) and looks at the development and operation of Lady Victoria Colliery, now the Scottish Mining Museum.

[0114] Duff House Collection
This project provides a look at some of the best of the Duff House collection, which includes painting, furniture, sculpture, weapons and silver. The house is a magnificent example of Baroque architecture and was built between 1735 and 1741 by William Adam, for William Duff, M.P. The house and its contents evoke the spirit and intimacy of a great Scottish country house.

It covers objects and images illustrating both the experience of the visitor and the impact on the local inhabitants.
