[0969] Scottish International Aviation Meeting 1910 in Lanark
Scotland's first International Aviation meeting or Air Show was held at Lanark between the 6th and 13th August 1910. The competitions included Long Distance, Cross Country Flights, Speed, Altitude, Weight Carrying and Delivery of Dispatches. The event attracted aviators from all over the world including one from Peru. A total of twenty-two were scheduled to attend.
These pictures taken by Robin Hutton's grandfather George Hutton are a unique personal record of the event.
