The University art collection consists of around 900 paintings and other works of art, including prints, sculpture and electronic media. The majority of these are by students of Gray's School of Art over the last 50 years and more. The collection also includes works which have been purchased, commissioned or donated. The University will seek to add to this collection by the acquisition of similar items including an annual selection of student work from the Gray’s School of Art Degree Show, and on occasion by the commissioning of art work, for example in relation to new building projects.
