[0944] 35 Years on the Moon - NASA's Space Exploration
This project celebrates the 35th Anniversary of the first landing on the Moon, which happened on 20th July, 1969. As well as looking at this historic event, there are also records showing the missions before and after Apollo 11, the Space Shuttle and Going into Space. A series of pathfinders will also be produced in conjunction with this project.

[0942] Concorde at the Museum of Flight
This Scran-developed project documents how one of Britain and France's now retired supersonic airliners arrived in Scotland in April 2004, and was transported to its new home at East Lothian's Museum of Flight, where it will form the centrepiece of new, revamped displays.

[0941] Images of Rural Life
These black-and-white images of rural life come from the School of Scottish Studies Photographic Archive at the University of Edinburgh. Most of the 100 photographs were taken by Werner Kissling during the 1930s and later on Eriskay and South Uist in the Outer Hebrides. They document practices such sheep-shearing, spinning, peat-cutting and harvesting with a sickle. Other photographs, also from the west of Scotland, include harvesting with reaper-binders, hay-making and the fixing of boundaries.
