Motherwell Swimming Baths' swimming club dominated British swimming for 20 years, during the 1940s and 50s. They won 32 British Championships and 151 Scottish Championships, producing World Champions and World Record Holders along the way. Motherwell swimmers became nationwide celebrities. This project looks at the lives and careers of these remarkable Scots.

[0330] Nursing in the 20th Century
This project documents the University of Glasgow's Hunterian Museum's collections relating to the nursing profession in Glasgow during the last 100 years. A wide variety of surgical and diagnostic instruments, clothing, ward furniture and photographs will be used to demonstrate nursing practices between the latter part of the 19th century and the 1970s.

[0329] The Glasgow Style: Talwin Morris Bookbindings
A selection of images of the bookbindings of Talwin Morris held in London College of Printing. Talwin Morris was employed by the Scottish publishing firm Blackie as Art Manager from 1893 to 1909. During this time he became one of the most influential figures in the development of the Glasgow style.
