[1008] Stained Glass Windows of Burnside Blairbeth Church
Oscar Paterson (1836 - 1934) designed Stained Glass Windows at Burnside Blairbeth Church, Burnside, Rutherglen. Paterson ran a stained glass studio in Glasgow until 1931. Oscar Paterson's work can be seen in many churches throughout Scotland from Crichton Memorial Church in Dumfries to St Magnus Cathedral in Orkney. The windows in Burnside Church are particularly fine examples of his work and, since there is over 20 years between their design and commissioning, show the development of Oscar Paterson's style.
